Certified Medical Billing & Coding Specialist / CMAA / EHR

Tuition: $4,000.00    ($3,875.00 Tuition + $125.00 Administration Fee)


160 hour (8 week) course, full time -20 hours a week, Monday through Thursday 10:00AM - 3:00pm.  Great hours for those with children. No Filler Subjects!! Excellent program to obtain a Health care career in a short amount of time with rewarding pay scales.

This course prepares both those who have never worked in the medical field or those with previous medical experience to obtain their credentials. Graduates of this program will be eligible to take (5) National Certification Exams. You will be prepared to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)'s CPC/CPC-A, the National Healthcareer Association (NHA)'s Certified Billing & Coding Specialist, (CBCS), as well as the NHA's Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA), Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS), and the Professional Healthcare Institute of America (PHIA)'s Certified Coding Professional (CCP) credentialing exams.

Subjects covered in course are: ICD-9 (including V and E codes), CPT, HCPCS Codes & Modifiers, CDT- 4 Dental Codes, DRG’s (Diagnostic Related Groups), CMS -1500 forms, EHR/EMR: Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records, Computerized Medical Billing, EOB's, COB's, Insurance Carriers, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA andOIG Regulations, Pre-Certifications, Referrals, 3rd Party Reimbursements, Anatomy and Medical Terminology (prefixes, suffixes, organs of the body (systems), abbreviations and root words, etc.), Medisoft Billing & Scheduling Software, Microsoft Word and more!

Medical Billing & Coding (Entry Level)

Class Sessions:  6 Weeks, (30 Hours), Two nights a week

Tuition:  $1,500.00  ($1,325.00 Tuition + $125.00 Administration Fee)

 

This is an entry level Medical Billing & Coding course. Excellent program for someone who wants to start out in the medical office field or change to a career that's in HIGH DEMAND with excellent starting salaries. The course is held 2 nights weekly, for 2.5 hours nightly, for 6 weeks. A rewarding career with rewarding pay. No Filler subjects!! Taught in a simulated office setting. Subjects covered include: ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS, HCFA-1500 (CMS 1500 Forms), basic medical terminology along with anatomy taught through the CPT coding books; allowing for either entry level billing and/or coding. Knowledgeable personnel will obtain a fuller understanding of codes and terms used daily in the office, as well as insurances, rules and regulations.

Certified Medical Billing & Coding / Customer Service Specialist

Full time – 20 hours a week, Monday through Thursday classes are held 10:00am - 3:00pm - Great hours for those with children. CSS has been stated to be the ushering in factor many new jobs; due to employers seeking individuals who are certified in customer service, and know how to deal with potential clients. Health care is one of the leading job markets in which Customer Service is a pre--requisite in obtaining employment.

Some of the areas where CSS will be utilized include many government agencies dealing in health care (Medicare / Medicaid), insurance companies, billing companies, fraudulent claims offices, hospitals, doctors, and upcoming by 2013 it will include the legal and judicial system.

Medical Coding Credentialing Review

Class Sessions:  20 Hours

Tuition:  $1,500.00 ($1,375 Tuition + $125.00 Administration Fee)

This 20 hour course has a pre-requisite of at least 2 years Medical Office or Medical Billing experience. Topics covered include a review of the materials in the Professional Medical Coding Guide in preparation for the Credentialing Exams, such as such as AAPC's CPC/CPC-A or PHIA's CCP National Credentialing Exam. Coding books are available for use at school, or may be purchased. Customers must pay for the CPC exam and AAPC registration prior to taking the exam. These fees are not included in the tuition.

Great course for those who are interested in a higher level of achievement in the Medical Office with rewarding pay scales. Many offices are beginning to require Medical Billing & Coding Certification in order to hire personnel due to insurance company requirements. This is in addition to some State and Government rulings on Credentials needed in many offices.

Customer Service Specialist/Receptionist

This (6) week course prepares you to be "Highly Job Marketable" as both a Customer Service Specialist and a Receptionist. Just think, only (6) weeks to a Rewarding Job with Rewarding Pay. Two Careers in a very short time period. There are many companies from which to choose for employment such as: Insurance, Medical, Construction and General Businesses needing Customer Service and front end workers.

The market is so open that having this valuable credential is very important to even a General Laborer dealing with the public in today's society with strict laws and regulations on privacy laws and proper procedures in addressing the public. Subjects covered include: Microsoft Word, General and Medical Receptionist tasks, Appointment Scheduling, and coordination of office activities, privacy issues and more!

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Class Sessions:  4-6 weeks  (90 Hours)

Tuition:  $1,675.00   ($1,550.00 Tuition + $125.00 Administration Fee) 

 

Certified Nursing Assistants works under the direction of physicians, RN's, LPN's to provide daily basic care for patients.  A CNA provides physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes, hospitals as well as other various settings.  CNA's must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for themselves and help them regain and maintain daily functions.  To be certified as a Nursing Assistant, the student must successfully complete the New Jersey curriculum for Nurse's Aide in long term care facilities training and competency evaluation program (NATCEP).  MCITC's program is approved by the NJ Dept. of Health and Senior Services.  Classroom learning is taught in a "simulated" long term care classroom setting and clinical is instructed at a locally designated long term care facility outside of the school.  This course gives you the full academic and hands on skills required to pass you state licensing exams.  The length of the course is 90 hours (4-6 weeks).  Our instructors have many years of positive instruction and a very high percentage of students who pass their exams the first time.  MCITC requires all CNA students to show a caring attitude at all times to the instructor, the elderly/disabled and desire to be future students/employees of integrity at school and at their work place.

CNA/Certified Home Health Aide  (CHHA) (10 hour Conversion Course)

Tuition:  $375.00    ($250.00 Tuition + $125.00 Administration Fee)

A Certified Home Health Aide provides personal care such as light housekeeping duties, bathing and grooming to elderly, convalescent or disabled persons in the home of patients or in a residential care facility.  To be New Jersey State Certified as a CHHA, the student must successfully complete a required 76 hour course of 60 hours of classroom instruction and 16 hours of clinical instruction, in skills laboratory or patient care setting and pass a competency evaluation exam.  Our instructors have many years of positive instruction and a very high percentage of students who pass their exams the first time.

**MCITC offers this course to active CNA's only, (those CNA's who have a certified nurse aide license with the NJ         Dept. of Health and Senior Services) so that it that allows them to work for home health agencies as well.
